After two incredible months in Raja Ampat the crew pulls up the hook and sets sail for Ternate Island in the Muluku Province. We see squalls, calms, and wind from every direction. With our motor broken the sail is slow but peaceful.
We dodge some more squalls, catch a Mahi-Mahi and Barracuda, and get visited by a massive pod of dolphins that play in our bow wake for hours.
Great video as always. Hope the motor is something minor. Sent some drinks for the shellbacks on PP Enjoy !!
ReplyDeleteHey Walter, thanks so much! It turned out to be a failure in the mechanical seal in the coolant circulation pump, so all the coolant just drained into the bilge. Unfortunately it's a hard to find part and took almost 2 months to get one on Delos to make the repair. Fair Winds, and thanks for the beer money :) We really appreciate it! Brian SV Delos
DeleteIf the motor is overheathing check the water intake outside the hull.
ReplyDeleteSeen this problem before on other boats.

ReplyDeleteGive this a try when you catch your next fish. All high end sushi is killed this way. Destroying the spine along with bleeding keeps the fish fresh longer and also improves the taste.
