The crew finally arrives in Raja Ampat after a 250 mile sail from Ambon! We have a week of amazing dives, explore deserted beaches, and party with the local patrol guys protecting these awesome waters!
Yea I miss the green man too! Unfortunately he blew off the laundry line in a squall in Fiji. I'm sure it washed up in some village and they probably thought "What the hell is this?" Best of luck in building your new boat! Thanks for watching :)
At the beginning of the video, Brady says it's "5:00 AM on August 21st. of August.. " Is this video really 10 months old? Where are you guys now if your just posting Raja Ampat?
Yea, that's right! We still spend way more time sailing than editing videos so we're way, way behind! We're currently in the Philippines getting ready to sail to Malaysia (Borneo). We're steadily working our way through the footage it just takes a lot of time to edit, especially on the boat where there is still so much other cool stuff to do during the sunny days :) Thanks for watching!
I have been following you guys for quite a while and I am living vicariously through your adventures. The Delos crew Rocks! Keep posting these great videos, your getting better with each one. I have a few years left at my job before we head out to do some cruising. I appreciate all the insight you provide in your videos.
I really admire you all for cruising while you are young and still have the adventurous spirit. Some wait too long and never go.
If your in need of some iOS marine apps check out my blog http://i-marineapps.blogspot.com/. I reviewed Mark Hayden's SEAiq app (S/V Northfork). He said he ran into you guys crossing the Pacific.
Hey Mark! Thanks so much for the awesome, awesome comment! Working on the videos has been a blast and we're really enjoying it. Happy to hear that our skills are improving :)
So I did check out your blog and looks pretty cool. We're currently using Coastal Explorer because it works with the Koden Si-Tec radar we have. Radar is broadcasted over TCP\IP. I was wondering if you knew of an iOS or Android app that handles radar as well?
I have got to be the newest fan of the s/v Delos and crew. Stumbled across your videos on Youtube and found that I can't get enough as I have watched your past 4 years in 2 evenings. I feel myself inspired to follow the passion but fear I may have missed the age window. That and a wife who is terrified of water kind of sums that up for me. Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks so much for taking the time to share the fantasy with everyone.
Hey Ken! Wow, sounds like you had a Delos marathon :) Too Cool! Some of those earlier videos were pretty basic but hopefully you noticed them improving as time went on......
You know, there are people out here sailing of all ages. In fact here in Asia we've met a lot of boats with people 70+. We even met an 84 year old out here! He does spend most of his time in Marina's now but he still gets out there from time to time. Having a partner that doesn't like the water may be a deal-breaker though.....
Anyway, thanks so much for watching and leaving the comment.
Great video ,as usual
ReplyDeletewe are now building a new boat to start sailing again
