Ken! So good to hear that :) I'll look forward to your video, and thanks so much for sending Halcyon Drive our way. Best wishes getting her back in the water!
it's really cool to get to drop in on you guys. becoming a big fan!
passed on the fish in the market? some things you gotta do just so you can {hope to} "live to tell about it"! nothing like a 3rd world fish/meat market. not quite sushi grade i am guessing? ;)
anyway, you guys are to be admired. how many people day dream about what you're doing and never leave shore? way to *go!*
first time poster here - i am curious about crew's additions and subtractions. maybe there are threads you could point me to? where is erin? where is the cat? how did who get added when?
have you read Blue Latitudes: Boldly Going Where Captain Cook Has Gone Before ? recommended especially for your trip.
so, is this a pacific circumnavigation (if that's a word) or are you heading all the way 'round? any sense of time table?
with a strangely mixed sense of : "wishing i was there", "i am glad it's them, not me", "bigger balls than mine", "i didn't know insanity could float {tic}", and a huge bucket of "all the best to delos and her crew", duane
Thanks so much for watching the videos! The crew has definitely changed over the years. In fact I just counted it up and there's been about 18 different people that have sailed on Delos. Some for years and some for weeks. But, everyone adds their own energy to the boat and I really like that. Erin ended up getting a position on a super yacht in New Zealand and did another pacific crossing to California. Mishka got to ride in a jet plane which is much faster but not quite as cool in my opinion.
I haven't had a chance to read the Blue Latitudes you mentioned but if I see a copy I'll snatch it up!
This journey started out only for a few years with plans to make it to Australia. Now it's gone well beyond that and pretty soon if we move any further west it'll be shorter to sail all the way around than do a pacific circumnavigation. Only time will tell though!
Anyway, wishing you the best in pursuing your dreams and adventures. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!

PS- We all already had the "ring of fire" from the street food so passed on the market meat. We have visited many other 3rd world street markets and actually found the meat to be of good quality and fresh. It's usually caught or butchered on the same day. If you can get around the thought of everything covered in flies it's not too bad!
re: crew log - i think it'd be a great blog, either by date or by person, like: date of sailing, crew on board, leaving from, leaving to.... or name, on date, off date, and then a bit about how they came to join, why they left, where are they now... re: flies and meat - just gotta cook it a bit, right? the human digestive system is to be admired! re: 3rd world meat and quality - i think you're right, that's true. a local butcher can't stay in business if he makes his customers sick.
