  1. What a great adventure! Glad to see the spirits were with you.

Two questions that I have been wanting to ask you all for a while. Do you guys hide your cameras when you are recording among other people? Everyone you deal with seems completely open and not uncomfortable with the camera. Especially when you were buy diesel in the backrooms of who knows where, thought it was very interesting that no one seemed to fuss about a camera. Perhaps it is just cultural for Americans to be bashful around cameras. Second, why do you always cover Maggie’s outboard? To mask the value it could have from thieves or is there other reasons?

    1. Hey Johathan- Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and leave a comment! So we're always very open with the locals. When traveling in a foreign land the last thing you want to do is upset someone so we always, always, always ask first. Most of the time they are super-excited that you want to take pictures\videos of them. Sometimes (very rarely) then shyly smile and bashfully say no but I think that's more because they're embarrassed. In Indonesia we got stopped A LOT and asked if we could have our picture taken so I think it's different in this culture. People don't really get embarrassed, more likely they want to show off to their friends how cool they are.

About the dinghy- there's two reasons. First off a 25HP Yamaha Endura is highly coveted in these parts. Although most people are super honest out here we fell it's best to make it look like a piece of crap outboard to draw as little attention as possible. Secondly, sometimes the motor accidentally rubs on the side of Delos when we tie up along side and leaves grey marks on the hull. A real hassle to wipe off.....

    1. OH cool guys! We wanted to go to TI but had just stocked up with loads of veggies and meat and heard some stories about customs taking all your stuff away when you got back to the mainland. Will be interesting to hear if this is real or just rumors.

So we are planning on leaving Borneo in December and heading that way. Plan is to be in Thailand during January\Feb. Really hope we run into you guys! not literally of course......
