When we pulled Delos into the Bundaberg Port Marina last February there was a lot of uncertainty in my life. I honestly had no idea if this would be our last adventure together, or if by some lucky stroke of the stars I’d be allowed to continue on.
Since then I’ve lived and worked on three different continents spending time with family and loved ones. I was privileged to live in the incredible city of Melbourne with my brother Brady and Josje for almost 9 months which flew by in the blink of an eye. Then it was an action packed 3 months of road tripping and visiting family in America. To top it off I had the opportunity to live with Karin and her lovely mom in Sweden for the winter which was just an incredible experience. I certainly burned my share of jet fuel….
And now, as of last week I am happy to say I’m back in Australia on Delos! They say home is where you hang your hat and after being a vagabond for so long it just feels so right to be here.
The to-do list is long but so are the days. Boats really don’t like being out of the water and Delos is begging for some TLC but we have an understanding. Stuff breaks and I do my best to fix it.
T – 15 days and counting until cruising! Stay Tuned……
Good to see you Back in the water. We left May 6 and arrived in Cairns 12 days later. We will probably head further north this Sunday. Just enjoying some city time. Hope our paths cross again someday. Cheers, Paul and Gina. SUV Solace
